Mr. Kanter is a neutral ADR provider, educator, consultant and author, focusing on mediation and arbitration. He has been active working with the American Arbitration Association ("AAA")from the early 1980's to the present, and is currently AAA certified as an active mediator and arbitrator panelist on the regular and complex Commercial and Employment Law Panels. He is an approved ADR Panelist for both Mediation and Arbitration, with The American Health Lawyer's Association. He has, and continues to be active in ADR working with the Courts in Michigan, The State Bar of Michigan, as an ADR Council Member,an Executive Committee Member, and the Chairperson-Elect of the State Bar of Michigan ADR Section for the years 2005-2006. Alan is a freequent trainer, author and lecturer in various facets of ADR for various law schools, the American Arbitration Association and the University of Michigan's Institute For Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Kanter also practices law, focusing on commercial, corporate, health and employment law, both litigation and transactional. He was Chairperson of the Oakland County Circut Court, Case Evaluation Committee, and is currently a member of it's ADR and Circuit Court Committees. Mr. Kanter is frequently called upon to mediate large, complex, multi-party commercial disputes throughout the USA, though most of his ADR practice is conducted in Michigan and the nearby states. In 2005, he was included in the publication "The Best Lawyers In America" in the field of ADR, and his biography is included in Marquis' "Whose Who In American Law" (2003-2004), "Whose Who in America" (2005) and "Whose Who in the World" (2005) emphasizing his work in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Background
For more than 25 years, Mr. Kanter has practiced as a litigator, transactional attorney, mediator and arbitrator, with much experience in diverse areas of commercial, corporate, employment, health and business law. He has been approved by the AAA to hear cases (including complex cases) in the areas of Securities, Computer and Internet Law & Technology, Corporation Law, Business and Commercial Law, Franchise Law, Telecommunications Law, and is also certified and provides ADR in the areas of Health Care Law, Insurance Law and Entertainment Law. He is a certified panelist for a number of Michigan Courts. He has authoried ADR Articles, participated in drafting standardized Court Forms adopted by SCAO, for use in Michigan Courts and has lectured to ADR students, lawyers, judges, and educators in many of these areas.

Fees
Per Diem and/or Hourly rates; Per Diem range from $3,000-$4,000 per day, $250-$400 per hour, depending upon complexity, projected length, number of parties and other factors. Always flexible to discuss alternative compensation methods.
