2005
  • Appointed as a member of the new Federal Mediation Commission by the Belgian Minister of Justice
  • Publication by Giuffrè in Milan of the Italian edition of the book co-authored with Eric Galton on Mediation advocacy
  • Taught a 42 hour course of Conflict Resolution at Boston University (Brussels campus)

  • Was made “Fellow” at the Cancun Conference of the International Academy of Mediators
  • Taught mediation advocacy to lawyers in five Italian cities (Cagliari, Leghorn, Novara, Vicenza and Palermo) under a programme managed by Isdaci in Milan, under the auspices of CNF (the Italian Bar Association), Unioncamere (the Italian federation of Chambers of commerce) and AIGA (the Italian young lawyers’association)
  • Trained during two half days the lawyers of an important insurance company in negotiation and mediation
  • Co-led a European seminar on the marketing of mediation in London
  • Spoke at a training session on judicial mediation at the court of Appeal of Versailles
  • Led a seminar on commercial mediation for approx. 100 lawyers from Baker&McKenzie in Berlin
  • Participated at a 5 day seminar on advanced mediation techniques at Harvard University
  • Gave a conference on mediation in industrial disputes in Guadeloupe, at the invitation of the French Ministry of Labour
  • Taught mediation and mediation advocacy in the frame of the Continuing Legal Education of the Brussels Bar
  • Intervention on mediation before the Belgian Association of Labour law Practitioners

  • Taught mediation advocacy to 15 members of the Brussels Bar
  • Was invited to join the commission created by the European Commission for the purpose of drafting a European Code of Ethics for mediators.
  • Lectured on mediation advocacy and chaired a plenary session on Mediation in Europe in the frame of the First Mediators’ Congress organized by CEDR in London.
  • Joined the Faculty of the prestigious Management Centre Europe and gave an introductory lecture on business mediation.
  • Gave a conference on ADR in Europe for Unioncamere in Rome.
  • Sat on a panel at a conference on ADR organized in Teramo by ADR Centre (Rome)
  • In charge of training new French speaking lawyers at the Brussels Bar in both negotiation and mediation (advocacy).
