Edward Kolker is a private mediator and arbitrator. He has mediated a wide spectrum of cases, with an emphasis on employment, business and commercial (including breach of contract and corporate and partnership disputes), professional liability, negligence, and real estate disputes. Mr. Kolker has extensive experience in complex cases with high emotional components, and has assisted clients in negotiating compensation agreements and other contractual matters. He has modern mediation facilites in downtown San Diego and Rancho Bernardo, and also mediates in the Orange County, Los Angeles and San Francisco areas.

Background
Mr. Kolker graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa Law School, where he served as Editor of the Law Review. His over 30 years in the legal profession includes service as a Municipal Court Judge, Chief Judge of the Juvenile Court, Chairman of a state public labor relations agency, Assistant United States Attorney (Civil Division), and extensive private practice litigation experience, primarily in complex civil litigation. Mr. Kolker is a Fellow in the International Academy of Mediators, and a former Director of the Southern California Mediation Association. He serves on the panels of NASD, the Superior Courts of San Diego County, the San Diego Association of Realtors, and others.

Education/Training
Mr. Kolker has over 400 hours of mediation training, including the Negotiations Workshop at Harvard Law School and advanced training at Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law. He also trains mediators in conjunction with the Academy of Dispute Resolution.

Fees
Fees are $300 per hour with a four hour minimum payable in advance of the mediation session. Fees are shared equally by the parties unless otherwise agreed.
