I mediate exclusively through ADR Services (310/201-0010)and primarily out of their Century City, California location. I do so on a full-time basis, specializing in employment issues (including all forms of alleged harrassment, discrimination, and retalliation), Wage & Hour (individual and class litigation), commercial cases (including unfair competition, breach of contract, partnership disputes, etc), legal malpractice and malicious prosecution cases, major trauma personal injury, and civil rights cases (including alleged use of excessive force by law enforcement agencies and alleged medical malpractice occurring in custodial settings). My approach is probably more evaluative than facilitative and emphasizes likely juror perception and response should the matter proceed to trial. Background
I earned my J.D. degree from U.C.L.A. Law School in 1973. I was a practicing trial lawyer in Los Angeles for 27 years, specializing in employment, commercial, legal malpractice, personal injury, fraud and civil rights cases, primarily at large law firm settings. I tried at least 70-80 cases to verdict, lectured at local Law Schools on "Trial Tactics and Techniques", and trained scores of new trial lawyers, before becoming a full-time mediator in 1999. I now mediate 100 to 150 private cases per year. Education/Training
The bulk of my mediation training was done through the LA County Bar Assoc. and the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine Law School. To date (Feb 2004), I have completed approximately 750 mediations.

Fees
I charge $4000 per day with no hourly maximum and no additional charge for either preperation or, where necessary, follow-up. I also have a 1/2 day rate of $2000 which includes 4 hours of mediation or arbitration and 1 hour of preperation time. Any additional hours required for a 1/2 day case are billed at $400 per hour at the commencement of each new hour.
