Background
Mr. Weiss' work is devoted entirely to ADR, primarily as a mediator. As a former litigator, his law practice emphasized civil litigation in a variety of cases including representation of parties in antitrust, RICO/fraud, general commercial, employment, civil rights litigation, tort and injury and other complex issues and subjects. As a neutral, he has successfully mediated a broad range of state and federal cases (he is also a member of the Federal Panel of the U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio). He also serves as settlement counsel and resolution consultant in the negotiation of litigated disputes involving injury, negligence and other commercial matters.
Mr. Weiss has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Law where he taught mediation and negotiation skills and he has been on the faculty of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He frequently lectures at local and national educational events and remains active in functions of the litigation bar where he is a Life member of the Eighth Judicial District of Ohio Conference. He serves on various ADR sections and committees in several professional associations on both the local and national level, including service as a Trustee of the Cleveland Bar Association and he is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for ADR. He has written extensively in several areas, including mediation-related topics.
