Communication and Outreach

Scholar in Residence

Objective:  The purpose of SIR is to systemically integrate into IAM's continuing education programs some of the latest scholarship and thinking by academics, while at the same time providing these academics with a better sense for the practical realities, needs, concerns, and interests of practicing mediators.

Mentorship

Objective: Provide a means of growing membership by supporting the next generation of mediator scholars and practitioners, both in established mediation and emerging markets, while honoring the high standards of the IAM. In addition, provide a forum for Distinguished Fellows to provide mentorship, introductions and guidance to promising individuals through personal contact and communication.

Pro-Bono

Objective:   To provide mediation services on a pro bono basis to serve those in the community with limited resources (the dispute generally involves some form of public interest, where at least one of the parties is being represented on a pro bono basis).
