Paul Bent is a dispute resolution professional whose practice concentrates on the mediation and selected arbitration of corporate, financial, business, and commercial matters. Relying on his more than 25 years as a transaction lawyer and investment banker, he has mediated and arbitrated scores of cases involving complex business and financing issues.
Among many other mediation assignments, he currently serves as a mediator for the U.S. Bankruptcy, the U.S. District, and the California Second District Appellate Courts in Los Angeles.

Background
Since 1980, Paul Bent has participated in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of more than $2 billion in corporate financings in the United States and internationally. As both an investment banker and a transaction attorney, he has arranged and negotiated many large and complex transactions, including:
- Secured borrowings and credit facilities
- Single-investor and leveraged leases
- Cross-border and income tax-oriented leases and financings
- Infrastructure and non-credit based project financings
- Business acquisitions, sales, and recapitalizations
- Real estate acquisitions and financings
