INTRODUCTION:

Patrick Nichols is a trial lawyer / mediator and partner in Associates in Dispute Resolution LLC (ADR) whose primary office is in Lawrence. The firm has offices in Topeka, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri. He is a 1977 graduate with honors from Washburn School of Law where he continues to serve as an adjunct professor. Patrick's approach to mediation views conflict as a multidimensional process and strives for an approach that will offer the parties resolution beyond the primary issue. Such resolution may include a greater understanding and acceptance of outcomes in civil litigation where the parties will have no further contact thus increasing party satisfaction with the process and the case. In other situations such as employment, workplace, construction and related matters, the parties' ongoing relationship may require additional attention to identify the source of the conflict and help the parties find a deeper resolution to prevent new issues from arising in the future.

Patrick's mediation experiences include over 400 cases in a wide range including construction, consumer law, malpractice, personal injury, employment, civil rights, workplace, divorce and family law, insurance claims and coverage.
