Richard DeWitt is a mediator, arbitrator and attorney. His practice is focused on resolving domestic and international commercial, civil, and employment disputes. He has unique experience in technology related matters including telecommunications, internet and technology development. He has served as a mediator in a wide range of commercial, business, real estate, technology and employment related disputes, including large complex cases involving national and international parties and complicated multi party disputes.
He is a member of the American Arbitration Association's National Roster of Neutrals serving on its panel of Mediators and as an Arbitrator on its large, complex case panel, and its commercial, employment and technology panels. He is also a Member of the NASD Dispute Resolution Board and on the National Arbitration Forum's Panel of Neutrals. He is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Court Mediator and Florida Supreme Court Certificated Arbitrator.

Background
Over 25 years experience in law and dispute resolution, including experience as a business and technology attorney and business executive and entrepreneur. He was the founder and CEO of Quest Telecom, a high-growth technology company and national leader in the telecommunications industry. He served as Chairman of the American Public Communications Council the national trade association of the competitive telecommunications industry where he helped chart the industrys future development as it emerged from deregulation.
He is currently the Chairman of the Commercial Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Founding Co-Chairman of its Advanced Commercial Mediation Institute. He is a frequent speaker on Alternative Dispute Resolution issues. He also serves as Chairman of the City of Coral Gables Economic Development Board, on the Board of the Coral Gables Bar Association and is a member of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables.
