Rick's mediation practice focusses on the resolution of commercial and workplace disputes. Specialties include wrongful dismissal and employment, long term disability and bodily injury insurance claims, debtor and creditor remedies, estates and business disputes including shareholder and franchise matters.
Rick's faciliation practice focusses on Construction Partnering, guiding Public Private Partnerships (P3's), and resolving organizational conflict. Rick resolves sexual harassment & other human rights matters through mediation and fact finding processes.
Rick Russell's training clients include large public and private sector clientele and all levels of government throughout Canada and internationally.

Background
Rick has practiced as a lawyer, ombudsman, mediator, facilitator, ombudsman, arbitrator and trainer.
Since 1988, Rick has focussed his practice exclusively on dispute resolution, with specialties in commercial and workplace mediation as well as Partnering facilitation.
Rick is one of the most experienced and versatile mediators in Canada, having mediated in excess of 100 cases per year for over ten years.
A lawyer with a background in civil litigation, mortgage and insurance litigation particularly, Rick brings a depth of experience and insight into his work as a mediator.
He has offered mediation training in a variety of settings, to judicial officers, law enforcement professionals, health care professionals and in blue collar manufacturing environments.
Education/Training
Rick holds his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Western Ontario, and his B.A. from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Rick has received over 400 hours of mediation & facilitation training from some of the leading training organizations in the world, such as CDR Associates of Boulder, Colorado and the Program of Instruction for Lawyers, Faculty of Law, Harvard. Rick offers training through the University of Toronto, Queen's University Industrial Relations Centre, Kingston, Ontario and Conrad Grebel University College, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario
Fees
$3,000.00 -- $4,000.00 per diem $400.00 per hour
