Mediations are conducted in a flexible and holistic style to meet the needs of the particular parties and the dispute at hand. The focus of the practice is primarily focused on commercial and contractual matters, especially involving complex and international issues. We also mediate disputes involving partnerships, joint ventures, employment, diversity whether cultural, racial, gender or organizations, professional malpractice, contracts involving commercial insurance claims, distribution, franchises. As well, we have experience in mediating in all circumstances involving the break-down of inter-personal relations including, family, church, religious, estates, trusts, harassment with a special emphasis in inter- and intra- organizational conflict or disputes. We specialize in disputes within organizations and adopt a proactive and preventative methodology and techniques in our dispute resolution practice. Although primarily based in the South-Western Ontario and Michigan, Ohio, Illinois corridor, our practice takes us anywhere in the world for the appropriate matter

Background
K. W. Stephen Cheung was educated and initially trained as a lawyer in London, England. He has taught law, with emphasis on taxation and corporate law, full time, part-time, and as an Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Manitoba and Windsor; and has taught or lectured in dispute resolution and conflict management at various Universities and Colleges in Canada and the U.S. He practiced law in England and Manitoba, but primarily in Ontario for over thirty-seven years. In the past decade and a half, he has redirected his energies to honing his skills and devoting his practice to dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, facilitation and negotiation. He also focuses his practice on conflict management and applied conflict management and provides consulting, training and advisory services in those areas.
He is a member of many panels including American Arbitration Association, ADR Institute of Ontario, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, ADR Chambers (International Panel) but is sought after as mediator usually for his own expertise and commitment to innovative mediation for effective solutions and resolutions.

Education/Training
K. W. Stephen Cheung was educated and trained in England, and holds LL.B. (Hons), and LL.M. degrees from the University of London. He is a member of the Bars of Manitoba and Ontario, and is a member of the Law Societies of England and Wales, and of Hong Kong He holds professional designations of C. Med.(Chartered Mediator), C. Arb. (Chartered Arbitrator), and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb.) He has taken advanced training in dispute resolution internationally throughout the years including in Canada, England, and the United States at specialised institutions including, Harvard University, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, American Arbitration and others
Fees
Fees are levied on an hourly basis which varies dependant on the type and complexity of the dispute. Any applicable taxes on the fees levied and disbursement including travel are additional. Charges, if any, for travelling time is negotiable dependent on distance and time.
