Ms. Allen is an international mediator, arbitrator and ADR educator. Her ADR experience spans the globe with emphasis in the areas of business, securities, employment, real estate, health care, insurance coverage, commercial, probate and tax law. As a former litigator and business tax attorney for many years, she now specializes in conflict prevention and resolution. In addition to her role as a commercial mediator and arbitrator, Ms. Allen provides extensive training services in the field of dispute resolution. She also acts as a neutral service provider in other ADR areas such as early neutral evaluation, summary jury trials and special master.

Background
Ms. Allen is a Distinguished Fellow and past President of the IAM. After an interlude as a law school professor, Ms. Allen has spent her professional life engaged in the private practice of law and conflict resolution. She has a full time ADR practice in addition to a specialty in tax and business/family succession planning. Ms. Allen writes and lectures extensively in her areas of expertise and is one of the lead trainers of mediators in the United States. She has authored numerous articles, training materials and publications on ADR for a variety of international and national professional organizations including the University of Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Pepperdine University Strauss Institute for Conflict Resolution, the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Allen is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine Law School Straus Institute and Lipscomb University Institute for Conflict Management. Ms. Allen has been recognized by and is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers (Michigan and coroporate counsel edition) and received the State Bar of Michigan Distinugished Service Award in ADR from the ADR Section in 2009.

B.A. with High Honors University of Michigan J.D. cum laude Wayne State University LL.M. Taxation Wayne State University Licensed to practice law in Michigan, and admitted to US Supreme Court, US Tax Court and US District Courts in MI.
Fees
Fees for services as an ADR provider are dependent upon the type of ADR service being provided. Hourly or per diem rates are available. Preparation and travel time are included in fees. Hourly rates $400; per diem $4000-6000. Ms. Allen charges for study time, pre and post mediation work, and Award writing where required.
