Tom has been mediating for over 20 years and specializes in multi-party, complex litigation, including shareholder and other corporate disputes, business valuation, product liability, and health care cases. He was a co-founder of the first agency in Minnesota to mediate commercial disputes. He has been appointed as a mediator, arbitrator, special master, and referee by federal and state courts.

Background
Tom is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of Minnesota. After a federal court clerkship, he served in the Solicitor General and Tort Divisions of the Minnesota Attorney General's office before moving to private practice. He has been a trial lawyer at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. in Minneapolis for over 30 years, specializing in complex civil cases, medical malpractice defense, and numerous pro bono cases, including death penalty litigation in Louisiana. Tom is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, and a member of the Academy of Court Appointed Masters.
