Rosslyn Chapel

Rosslyn Chapel, located in the beautiful village of Roslin dates to 1446 when William St Clair, 3rd Prince of Orkney, began its creation. It is now a Category A listed building displaying outstanding craftsmanship and holds an important place in the history of Scotland. Anyone who has read Dan Brown’s worldwide best seller ‘The Da Vinci Code’ or has seen the film starring Tom Hanks, will be fascinated by the mysteries and legends surrounding this ‘Architectural Wonder. The short journey to Glenkinchie Distillery follows where you will be given an in-depth tour of this small working distillery (the most southerly in Scotland) and offered a whisky tasting of the Glenkinchie 12-year-old single malt.

This tour will start/finish at the Hilton Edinburgh Carlton
Coach departs at 11.00. (30 minute transfer to Rosslyn Chapel)
Arrive and take a 20-minute walk in Roslin Glen, weather permitting
2 Hour visit to Rosslyn Chapel including 20 minute talk by the Chapel guide. Group will have time to visit cafe for refreshments if they wish. Paid by the individuals
30 minute Coach transfer to Glenkinchie Distillery
1 Hour Distillery Tour commences at 14.30. Includes viewing of Exhibition/model distillery & complimentary tasting of the Glenkinchie single malt
16.00 departure from Distillery. (40 minute Coach transfer to Hotel)
